What we're looking for

Ridiculously enterprising self-starter who wants to learn the ropes on what it's like to be an early stage CEO as a rapidly scaling seed stage company. Will only be a 1 year role.
Perfect for someone who wants to figure out what to do next in life, someone who wants to start a company one day (Our CEO, Max, will angel invest in your future startup).

Responsibilities

  • 2.5x our CEO Max Greenwald
    • Live in Max's email inbox. Pre-draft emails, schedule meetings, alert to high priority items, be the first line of defense
    • Join for 50% of Max's meetings. Take notes, follow up with action items
    • Find problems and fix them. Ask forgiveness, not permission
    • Find signal in the noise. Max creates a lot of noise in the form of too many ideas. Help the team pick the right things to work on to help them find Product Market Fit
    • Scale Max's presence on LinkedIn / Twitter / Content marketing
  • Team operations - plan company events and living logistics (eg. team wants to move to Alaska for a month; help coordinate housing)
  • Own the operational aspects of human resources and security/privacy compliance
  • Run our bi-weekly Ops Reviews & help hold folks accountable to their goals
  • Special projects - examples could include:
    • develop a brand for the company
    • learn how to use Google/Facebook ads
    • find/select/implement a customer management tool
    • Find user interviewees for the product & UX teams to work with
  • Resolve support requests on a day-to-day basis.
  • Partner closely with marketing to communicate brand value.
  • Opportunities (depending on skillset) for 20% time to handle:
    • Product management for large sections of the product
    • Operations & account management for piloting customers and current customers
  • After the 1 year tour of duty, openness to growing into:
    • Owning growth marketing
    • Owning partnerships
    • Full-time product manager
    • Owning customer success

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience as a problem solver (ideally product manager, startup operator)
  • Humble enough to have a learner's mindset
  • Excellent emailing skills. Looking for an email ninja
  • Outrageously organized and self-sufficient
