Hours: 10-20 per week. Potential to move to 30+ in next 6 months
Pay: $50 per hour
The Adventure Project (www.theadventureproject.org) is a nonprofit “adding venture” capital to create jobs in developing countries. Our organization fills a critical role in alleviating poverty by leveraging the power of a grassroots movement toward smart, cost-effective solutions that empower those living in extreme poverty to become profitable entrepreneurs, so they can serve their own communities with improved health, decreased hunger, a healthier environment, and clean water.
The Adventure Project seeks to ensure a cycle of continual learning and improvement through the design and implementation of standard operating procedures and performance measurement systems, including real-time systematic evaluations.
At The Adventure Project, we believe that data-driven decision-making is essential to our organization’s success. The Project Manager will be responsible for connecting all teams, facilitating team meetings (remotely), strategizing our goals, managing our project deliverables and timelines, and providing regular status updates.
The successful candidate will be able to keep our team on track with our organizational goals, build out systems to provide status updates for the executive team and board of directors, and keep the team feeling organized and energized! In addition, the successful candidate will be flexible and able to integrate various interpretations of our goals, effectively communicating the needs and obstacles of our team based on data. This position reports to our co-founder and CEO, Becky Straw.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with various teams to define project goals, timelines, and specifications;
Act as the primary liaison internally for all status updates and assigned projects;
Obtain, organize, analyze and communicate data vital for fulfilling project and organizational needs;
Design, communicate, and implement an operational plan to supervise progress and performance against organizational goals and fundraising objectives;
Lead meetings, set agenda, and ensure meeting goals are accomplished;
Evaluate what is working and trouble-shoot opportunities for growth;
In collaboration with the CEO, establish all KPI’s, with a focus on monthly, quarterly, and annual goal-setting. Assign accountabilities, set objectives, and priorities.

Experience. You have at least 2 years of project management experience and experience leading teams across multiple projects to deliver results, preferably in a nonprofit or startup setting.
