You will be responsible for designing and developing smart contract systems for the Polyient ecosystem. This is an exciting opportunity for a developer who wants to work on blockchain trends emerging around DeFi, NFTs and DAOs while having an active voice in product development.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be a strong collaborator with the ability to communicate technical ideas and solutions to a wide range of stakeholders. You must also be able to juggle multiple projects and have the foresight to anticipate the future impact of your development decisions. This role is responsible for guiding key technical decisions and will have significant influence on the direction of product development.
This position will work across both divisions and reports to the Head of Product.
5+ years of development experience
2+ years of experience with Solidity and TypeScript
A strong grasp of the Ethereum Virtual Machine and blockchain state transition
Experience working with defi concepts and contracts that manage staking flows and asset custody
Experience working with NFT contracts
A working understanding of current and emerging ERC standards (e.g. ERC20, ERC721, ERC1155, ERC998, ERC777)
A security first mindset and a commitment to to shipping tested code
Experience with development and testing frameworks (e.g. Quorum, Truffle, Hardhat, etc.)
Experience deploying complex smart contract systems to the Ethereum mainnet
Experience with implementing solutions through multiple front and back end frameworks
Experience working in agile development projects with contributors from other disciplines (product management, design, traders, etc.)
Results oriented – you will do whatever it takes to get the job done
Self-directed and motivated to work with little supervision
You are proactively communicate development timelines and blockers
You keep up with news and trends related to blockchain technology, standards development, and security breaches
Proficient using collaboration tools such as Google Apps, Slack, Zoom, etc.
You actively participate in DeFi activities (trading, yield farming, liquidity providers, etc.)
Strong understanding of computer science, data structures and algorithms as applied to blockchain
Experience implementing complex math in Solidity
Experience with smart contracts for DAO governance structures
Experience or exposure to other blockchain technologies (EOS, Tezos, etc.)
