Role: Hardware Technician
At Kiwibot we are building the largest robotic last-mile delivery network to support operations in several environments from college campuses to cities across the US and Europe. We believe that the future will be powered by clean and effective technological solutions and that everyone should have the access to receive anything at a low or no cost.
We are searching for a Hardware technician to be in charge to test prototypes, define improvements, being responsible for the test of the new designs and modifications, define the maintenance process, and being in charge of the documentation.
Location: Medellin, Colombia
As a Hardware Technicias a typical day might include the following:
Maintenance of the development robots fleet
Testing the robots and the upgrades
Reports of the results of the tests
Make modifications of the robots of parts according to the team needs
Coordinate purchases to can make the tests
Check the issues in the robots and resolve it
Assembly of the new design prototypes.
Coordinate the test of new products
Analyzing data to write up reports.
Maintenance of the parts and product if needed
This job might be the right one for you if:
Electronic technician or engineer
Electronics software like Altium design (basic)
Mechanical software like Solidworks (basic)
Experience creating assembly manuals and technical drawings
Maintenance experience (mechanical and electronic)
Experience developing of new product or system (Nice to have)
You might have also had:
Spanish language skills (we are a Latin America start-up!)
Experience starting or scaling a successful startup
Demonstrated interest in logistics, on-demand services, and marketplaces
Problem Solving attitude and experience
Collaborating with other engineers and professionals.
Hardware technician -> Electronic/mechanical designer -> Test manager -> Test lead
