🌈 The role

We're looking for our first sales hire.

This person will help scale up our first customer community of creators, close inbound leads, optimize initial sales scripts, and tweak/improve our lead generation process to drive revenue. You'll be paired up with a small army of sales mentors (or you can bring your own) to help you accomplish these goals.

Some of the key qualities of this person is that they'll be:

  • Naturally curious. This is someone that's excited to solve the people problems that naturally arise in sales and learn the ins & outs of the community-tech market.

  • Constantly optimizing. You're naturally data-driven and looking for ways to keep improving & tweaking your work to get better results.

  • Deeply empathetic. You prefer genuine relationship building over the standard "used car salesperson" routine. You're ready to actually connect with customers and help them in all areas of community building, not just where we can sell Heartbeat.

🔍 What we're looking for

  • Background scaling lead generation or tech sales at an early stage startups (preferably Seed or Series A)

  • Experience with a consultative sales process and optimizing a sales pipeline

  • Experience communicating customer needs with a fast-moving tech team

  • Strong self-starter mentality and track record of taking ownership of problems

  • Well-versed with common tech tools — Hubspot, Slack, Airtable, Notion, etc.

  • Scaled a tech company from $5k MRR to $100k MRR

  • Run a close-knit online community (or served in an moderator/core contributor position)

  • Founded a company before

Murtaza Bambot leads sales, growth, and fundraising. He's got experience fundraising (over $2m from VCs for CareerBlitz), growing products (0 to 25k users in 8 mos), and was the youngest partner ever hired for Georgia Tech's accelerator.

Mayhul Arora runs all things tech & product. He's built tech for startups and massive enterprises, turning down offers from Google, Amazon, and Microsoft to build better tech for communities.

Chris Chen heads up design. He previously led design at Engage Ventures, and at the Mercedes Benz Innovation Team before that. He's an expert at building UX flows for bleeding edge tech.
