As a Regional Sales Manager in our Outside Sales team, you will lead our efforts in acquiring top merchant partners in Los Angeles and beyond while building a team, and developing sales talent.

About the role

The 3PL (third-party logistics) space is massive: Coco grows exponentially by deeply understanding the delivery landscape in each neighborhood, and focusing our sales efforts on the right merchants in the right locations. This allows us to maximize our resources, ensuring the best delivery times and the happiest merchants and end-users. You’ll hone the sales strategy and build the team will ensure those key merchants are partnered with Coco.

As Regional Sales manager, you're responsible for overall sales performance in Los Angeles and beyond. You’ll hire and develop teams of salespeople, providing the team with all they need to succeed and grow in their careers. You’ll build sales strategies and help set the performance metrics against which you will measure their performance. All while growing sales at an exponential rate at a hyper-scaling startup.

To succeed in this role, you should be an experienced coach with a keen eye for people and motivations. You should also be a great strategic decision maker, able to translate high-level goals into well-defined targets, with a clear tactical path to hitting each.

The role

  • Leading our top on-the-ground talent: setting clear and aspirational goals, and building an environment that helps them win

  • Make sound, decisive, and data-driven managerial decisions: Quickly identify what’s working and what’s not, and adjust your teams’ sales strategies accordingly

  • Hire and coach top talent: your guidance should ensure every sales team performs at an elite level

  • Remove barriers to close, and use our local knowledge to deliver the right value prop to the right merchants in the right places

  • Work with partner teams to create a seamless onboarding experience, and share insights about their pain points to inform our ops and product roadmaps

Qualifications

  • You have years of experience hiring and developing high-performing sales teams

  • You exceed targets and win and your teams exceed targets and win

  • You’re a highly creative thinker, capable of approaching challenges from first principals and pioneering ways to help our sales teams and merchant partners win

  • Foundation in basic analytics: comfort with reviewing and drawing insights from models

  • You’re highly goal oriented: you have a competitive fire, and are creative and relentless in meeting your goals

  • You have a natural interest in technology: you are great at thinking critically about how our technology can integrate with our partner’s many tech platforms
