Batch is building blazing fast, one-tap checkout for the physical world. We’re bringing the convenience of shopping online into the physical world, creating opportunities for discovery and genuine connection.
If you want to reorder your favorite skincare product, buy a candle that you saw at a friend's house, or shop an artist’s latest merchandise from your seat at a live event — we believe you should be able to do that instantly using your mobile device.
Our initial product is focused on high-intent purchases of CPG products. We let customers reorder from their favorite brands straight from the packaging, as well as powering other high-impact, immersive marketing experiences off of QR codes. In parallel, we're growing our business in the live event world, powering one-of-a-kind merchandising experiences for artists, venues, and festivals.

This role requires a generalist skill set and will report directly to the CEO. You will be tasked with operating our initial live event pilots in 2021, consolidating learnings, and quickly scaling a business in the live event space in 2022.
Implementation & Project Management: You'll be responsible for coordinating with artists, festivals, and venues to utilize Batch to sell merchandise and other physical objects on-site.
Customer Success: You'll be the first point of contact for any opportunities and problems that arise, interfacing with IT teams and venue support staff to ensure flawless integration with Batch.
Case Study Development: You'll take what we learn and develop case studies and materials we can use to scale the business, highlighting the opportunity to increase revenue for stakeholders across the entertainment industry.
Sales / GTM Strategy: You'll develop a strategy for expanding the entire live event vertical for Batch, identifying targets, nurturing relationships, and closing deals.
Deal Negotiation: You'll develop a pricing strategy and business model as we negotiate with artist management groups, event venues, and festival coordinators, setting and achieving your own deal and revenue goals.
Hire a Team: Ultimately, we'd like candidates for this role to be able to lead the charge in building out a BD and customer success operation as we scale the business.
A passion for the music industry or live event space
Several years of experience within sales/BD and customer success organizations at early stage startups
Ability to organize a business development funnel and prioritize opportunities
A contagious excitement for the products you sell and operate
Impeccable organizational skills, with ability to execute on complex timelines and technical dependencies
Experience communicating seamlessly with all levels of stakeholders, from executives to operational staff
Be able to work with technical teams to integrate Batch with existing e-commerce tools and troubleshoot issues as they arise
Willingness to travel to events and venues to ensure early Batch pilots are integrated successfully

Based in NYC: Our HQ is in Downtown Manhattan in New York City and we generally work east coast-friendly hours. About half of our team lives in NYC and collaborates in the office occasionally.

Off-sites: We value in-person collaboration, so we plan to bring the entire team together at least once per quarter, either in NYC or off-site somewhere we can spend a few days together.
