Batch is building blazing fast, one-tap checkout for the physical world. We’re bringing the convenience of shopping online into the physical world, creating opportunities for discovery and genuine connection.

If you want to reorder your favorite skincare product, buy a candle that you saw at a friend's house, or shop an artist’s latest merchandise from your seat at a live event — we believe you should be able to do that instantly using your mobile device.

Our initial product is focused on high-intent purchases of CPG products. We let customers reorder from their favorite brands straight from the packaging, as well as powering other high-impact, immersive marketing experiences off of QR codes. In parallel, we're growing our business in the live event world, powering one-of-a-kind merchandising experiences for artists, venues, and festivals.

About the role

We're building a team focused on scaling our business development and sales efforts. If you’re excited by the idea of helping us shape our sales motion and close our next 100 brands, we want to talk to you.

You'll be part of a small team and will work closely with both product and launch operations. You will help us transition from a stealth startup running early pilots into a well-known brand name that every e-commerce brand wants to work with. One of your first tasks will be to develop and own our target list, strategizing daily on how to best reach our next 100 customers (whether through warm introductions, cultivating inbound leads, content efforts, growth hacks, or cold outreach). Our network of investors, advisors, and partners has a massive reach, and we have the opportunity to develop a network-driven growth strategy from day 1.

In your first 180 days

We are a seed stage startup so roadmap and priorities can shift. However we anticipate that, in the first 180 days, you will:

  • Collaborate with the team to set sales goals, reviewing and revising weekly, and rallying the rest of the team to support you

  • Constantly expand our target list and mine our existing network for introductions and warm intros

  • Work closely with our CEO and optimize your usage of their time to close deals

  • Develop internal sales pipelines and processes that are suitable to an early-stage startup

  • Provide daily/weekly feedback to the product team and collaborate on our ideal customer profile

  • Work with design team to create new materials as we venture out into new verticals and market tests

Requirements

  • A strategic thinker, able to craft a 6-12 month plan to scale our sales efforts

  • A great closer, with experience selling and hitting sales targets in some capacity, preferably in SaaS, tech, and/or startup context

  • Flexible and creative, able to quickly iterate on our sales narrative for different audiences and use cases

  • Remarkably organized in the way you manage, follow-up on, and report out to the company on your sales pipeline

  • Restless, obsessed with learning something and making significant progress every single day

  • Metrics-driven and scrappy, consistently thinking in terms of ROI and rigorously prioritizing opportunities based on business needs

  • Low-ego, able to take feedback and work collaboratively with a team to transition an unpolished strategy into execution

  • At least 2+ years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in B2B SaaS or e-commerce. This is an early stage role that involves business development, sales, and a lot of creativity.

  • Ideally, you'll have experience in a space relevant to Batch and have existing relationships in e-commerce, DTC, retail, or SaaS
